City Detect Implementation Specialist Remote · Full time Company website

We're seeking an Implementation Specialist to lead onboarding, implementation, and operational adoption of our AI platform, ensuring City Detect becomes a core technology for the cities we serve.

About City Detect

City Detect harnesses AI and computer vision to revolutionize urban management by using sensors to map the physical world and help communities respond to issues and track longitudinal changes. Founded in 2021, we recently raised a Series A and are actively partnering with major municipalities across Texas, California, Florida, and beyond to create cleaner, safer, and more livable cities. We value responsible practices, cutting-edge innovation, and collaborative community partnerships as we scale our platform and shape the future of urban living through technology.

Description

You'll own the customer relationship from contract signature through renewal. Working closely with sales and engineering, you'll ensure clients are successfully onboarded and trained, and that our AI platform is fully embedded in city operations. You'll play a key role in diagnosing issues, surfacing product insights, and turning successful implementations into long-term partnerships and expansions.

A successful Implementation Specialist will develop a deep technical understanding of our product, a thorough grasp of client workflows, and will bridge the two to make City Detect work in the real world.

What You'll Do

  • Lead client kickoffs and weekly discovery sessions
  • Gather technical specifications and develop implementation plans
  • Monitor and QAQC GIS data and platform performance
  • Lead customer training sessions and workflow integration sessions
  • Develop deep understanding of client workflows and embed City Detect into them
  • Diagnose/resolve issues and proactively identify adoption/renewal risks
  • Track customer progress, usage, and success metrics over time
  • Synthesize customer feedback into actionable product recommendations
  • Develop operational playbooks and customer case studies

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in implementation, operations, consulting, or a related role
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort owning client relationships
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams to drive client impact

Nice to Have

  • 4+ years of professional experience in implementation, operations, consulting, or a related role
  • Experience working with or for government agencies
  • Experience with govtech or case management software
  • Experience with GIS data and geospatial platforms
  • Familiarity with process mapping and operational improvement

Benefits

  • Eligible for company equity incentive plan
  • Fully remote position
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • $100 monthly wellness stipend
  • Bi-annual team retreat
  • Professional development opportunities

What to Expect in Our Hiring Process

Our hiring process is designed to be thoughtful, efficient, and human. Candidates typically move through a short series of interviews over 2–3 weeks, starting with a 30-minute phone screening, followed by one or two technical conversations and a final interview with our CEO.

We focus on cultural alignment, real-world experience, and career goals. You’ll hear back within 24 hours after each stage whenever possible. If an offer is extended, the role begins with a 30-day trial period where you’ll take ownership of a meaningful project and receive clear, ongoing feedback to ensure mutual fit.

Due to regulatory and operational requirements, we are currently only considering candidates based in the United States.
