What You'll Do

  • Perform low-volume pilot installations or maintenance for a diverse fleet across the United States
  • Act as the on-site project lead for large scale installations, working with our installation partners to ensure an effective and uniform installation process
  • Assemble and test hardware units before shipping them out to installation sites
  • Assist with the maintenance of hardware assembly and installation documents and tracking of material usage and assembly needs
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse and installation safety protocols and cleanliness standards
  • Participate in the hiring, on-boarding, and training of new staff or partners as we continue to expand operations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a technician in a mobility industry (ie: automotive, transportation) or in a role with applicable experience (ie: Automotive Manufacturing, Test Engineer)
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, wiring, and other electro-mechanical tools (multimeters, calipers, heat gun, etc)
  • Familiarity with deploying GPS, camera, or other electronic, customer-facing systems
  • Comfort adapting on-the-fly to a wide range of customer vehicle types and installation requirements while maintaining attention to detail
  • Solid organization and communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving team environment
  • A valid driver's license
  • 50% travel to customer installation sites, 50% in-house assembly and test drives

Nice to Have

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with embedded systems, real-time systems, or Linux, especially as it relates to data collection or self-driving systems
  • Experience with CAD software (Autodesk, SolidWorks, Catia, etc) and prototyping (3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming)
  • Experience with supply, production, and equipment tracking systems (BOMIST, odoo, etc)
  • Knowledge of materials, machining, and other hardware creation processes and limitations

Salary

$50,000 - $80,000 per year
