As a PR Associate, you will develop and execute strategic external communication plans in support of Compass agents in the Northeast–including New York and the Hamptons–and enhance our company's brand and reputation regionally and nationally.
You will work closely with our communications team leaders to ensure that earned media coverage supports agents in achieving their goals and align with our company's mission and goals. You will be responsible for crafting data-driven stories around regional market data, creating compelling media-worthy stories around luxury listings, managing media relations with NY-centric reporters, tracking the effectiveness of external communication efforts, and servicing the overall earned media requests of agents and executives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute external communications plans that support the goal of our agents and the company's strategic vision
Create compelling content for news releases and other communication channels
Manage media relations and serve as a primary point of contact for regional inquiries
Counsel regional agents on messaging and media relations best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all communications
Monitor and track relevant news and develop comprehensive coverage reports on the effectiveness of external communication efforts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
At least five years of experience in external communications, preferably in the real estate or tech industries; PR agency highly preferred by not required
Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven ability to create compelling content for a variety of audiences and channels
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven experience working with the media and managing press relationships
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in external communications

The base pay range for this position is $45,200 to $81,200 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
