As a (Senior) Backend Engineer* at Evernest, you play a key role in developing and scaling our platform.

With your expertise in software development, your interest in working with data pipelines, and your confidence in cloud environments, you directly contribute to efficiently connecting real estate agents, buyers, and sellers – with a clear focus on building high-quality backend software.

Your potential at Evernest:

Software Engineering – You bring solid experience in software development.
Interface Management – You develop robust APIs, services, and integrations to support real estate agents, buyers, and sellers.
Data Integration – You contribute to the design and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for our data warehouse—ideally using dbt and BigQuery.
DevOps – You take responsibility for operating and maintaining the software you build.
Cloud-first Approach – You develop and extend our services within a Kubernetes cluster.
Process Optimization – You take ownership of backend systems and ensure smooth, reliable operations.

What you bring:

Background – Ideally, you hold a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and have already delivered a variety of backend-focused software development projects.
Skills – You have strong experience in Python development. Experience with Django is a plus, but not required.
DevOps Mindset – You bring a strong DevOps mentality and naturally take ownership of operating and maintaining your software. You also have solid cloud experience—ideally with GCP or alternatively AWS—as well as good knowledge of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) and, ideally, hands-on experience with Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
Team Performance – You are curious and eager to continuously grow in a dynamic environment. You enjoy working in a team and openly share your knowledge with colleagues.
Communication – You are fluent in English; German skills are a plus.
